Journalist Arrested Over Fabricated Jantar Mantar Protest Video

Delhi Police arrested a journalist over a video shared online.

Police say the video was changed to make it look like real CCTV footage.

It appeared to show a police officer behaving inappropriately, and the officer’s name and photo were shown beside it.

Police say they traced one account that shared the video to the journalist and recovered a phone.

They are investigating how the video was made and whether more people were involved.

The officer is also facing separate allegations from a woman journalist, which are being investigated separately.

Meanwhile, police have given body cameras to some officers working at protests.

The cameras can record what happens between officers and protesters.
