Mann Aide and Co-Accused Skip CBI Summons in Punjab Case

The CBI asked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s aide Rajbir Ghuman and five others to come to its office.

They did not appear on Wednesday.

The CBI had searched eight places in Punjab the day before.

One searched place was linked to Ghuman and was also used as Mann’s camp office.

A source said Ghuman did not come because the summons had not formally reached him.

The Punjab government has asked the Supreme Court to hear its challenge to the investigation.

The CBI says it will follow the Supreme Court’s directions.

Mann says the BJP is using central agencies to trouble its political opponents before elections.

He also says the searches found nothing incriminating.
