Bhind Teachers Cross Flooded Stream To Mark E-Attendance
Heavy rain flooded a stream in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh.
Teachers still had to reach school and record their attendance online.
Because there was no bridge or safe road, some crossed the water on inner tubes.
Students and villagers also face the same dangerous crossing.
The route can stay blocked for about four months during the rainy season.
Teachers fear being marked absent if they do not arrive on time.
Villagers say they have asked for a permanent solution many times.
They question whether online rules can work when basic roads and mobile networks are missing.
Teachers in Bhind’s Babedi area crossed a rain-swollen stream on inner tubes to reach school and record mandatory online attendance.
The seasonal Khar cuts off the route between Nadrauli and Sumer Singh Ka Pura during monsoon rains.
The area has no culvert or safe passage, leaving teachers, students and villagers to cross strong currents.
The route reportedly remains disrupted for nearly four months each monsoon, making travel by foot or bike difficult.
Residents say repeated requests for a permanent culvert or safe road have not been answered.
