Odisha CM Sanctions Extra Rs 100 Crore for Puri Projects

Odisha’s chief minister has approved another Rs 100 crore for projects in Puri.

The projects are meant to improve the city’s facilities and preserve its heritage.

They include work on a pilgrim centre, a market complex, a bridge and the Musa River area.

The government reviewed the projects before announcing the extra money.

Their combined estimated cost has risen from Rs 557.19 crore to Rs 658.03 crore.

A hall for 2,000 people is also planned inside the pilgrim centre.

The projects are part of a scheme called ABADHA.

The scheme aims to make Puri a world-class heritage city while keeping its Kalingan architectural identity.
