Many government schools in Rajasthan need safer and better buildings.

A survey found that 45,365 school buildings need major repairs.

Another 3,768 schools were called dilapidated, meaning they are in very poor condition.

Also, 611 schools do not have their own buildings.

The Rajasthan government has announced a three-year plan costing about Rs 12,500 crore.

This plan would build new schools and classrooms and repair many existing schools.

It would also add toilets and digital learning equipment.

The government says it wants schools to become safe, modern, inclusive and technology-enabled.
