AP Legislative Council Reviews International Law University Bill
Andhra Pradesh plans to build a new law school called the India International University of Legal Education and Research in Amaravati.
The state government has already approved the plans.
The goal is to encourage more universities, both public and private, to set up campuses in the state, after amendments to regulations.
This is inspired by successful law schools elsewhere, and aims to also include arbitration, mediation, and judicial training.
The government is also working on a High Court bench in Kurnool.
