Four Staff Suspended Over Exam Irregularities
Some staff members at a university in Hyderabad were suspended because they did something wrong during an exam.
The exam was for students studying agriculture.
The university noticed that some students got very high marks in a difficult subject, which was unusual.
They checked the exam footage and found that some students had cheated using special pens with answers and shared the exam questions on WhatsApp.
Because of this, the university cancelled the admissions of 35 students who were working as agricultural officers.
They are also looking into more problems and will take more action if needed.
Four staff members, including a senior official, were suspended at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University due to exam irregularities.
Unusually high marks in pathology raised concerns during an internal review of first-semester examination results.
CCTV footage revealed students using AI-enabled pens with preloaded answers and circulating the question paper via WhatsApp.
The university cancelled the admissions of 35 in-service students and barred them from future admissions under the in-service quota.
A three-member inquiry committee found evidence of organized malpractice, including question paper leaks.
