Uttar Pradesh Leads States in Tax Collections, Haryana Growth
States collect money through taxes to pay for public services and development.
Uttar Pradesh collected the most tax money from April to July.
Haryana had the fastest increase in tax collections, growing by 18 per cent.
Goods and Services Tax earnings rose in all 10 states studied.

Uttar Pradesh collected about ₹1.5 lakh crore in taxes from April to July of the current fiscal year, up from about ₹1.37 lakh crore a year earlier.
Haryana recorded the highest tax-collection growth among the states covered, at 18 per cent.
