Balmoor Venkat Accuses BRS of Opportunistic Entry into Election Protests

Congress-led protests are calling for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

Congress leader Balmoor Venkat said Congress workers had been protesting in Delhi for four days.

He accused the BRS of joining only after the protests became large.

BRS said it would hold a protest in Hyderabad on October 10.

The party says it is concerned about alleged voter deletions during a voter revision process.

It wants an independent inquiry into those allegations.

BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao also called for an inquiry supervised by a Supreme Court judge.

Venkat's account of why BRS is protesting is his claim, while BRS cites concerns about voter revisions.
