Irish PM Martin visits China
The leader of Ireland, Micheál Martin, is going to China for a few days.
This is the first time an Irish leader has visited China in a long time, since 2012.
While he's there, he will meet with important Chinese leaders like the President and the Premier.
They will talk about how Ireland and China can work together better.
After Beijing, he will also go to Shanghai, which is a big city in China known for business.
Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin is visiting China from January 3-5, 2024.
This is the first visit by an Irish Taoiseach to China since 2012.
Martin will meet President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang in Beijing.
He will also visit Shanghai, a major commercial hub in China.
The visit is part of Beijing's efforts to strengthen ties with individual EU member states.
