Indian Markets Eye Positive Start as Treasury Yields Retreat

Indian stock markets may open higher because a market indicator called GIFT Nifty increased.

Several Asian markets also rose after US government bond yields fell.

US stocks ended Wednesday slightly higher.

The US Treasury plans to buy back more long-term bonds to help calm the bond market.

Oil prices remain high, with Brent crude above $90 per barrel.

Gold and silver prices also increased.

Foreign and domestic institutional investors both bought Indian shares on August 19.

However, the market still faces mixed signals because oil is expensive and US futures were flat.
