Border 2 Smashes Box Office
A new movie called Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, has just been released.
It's a war drama and has made a lot of money on its first day, earning about ₹30 crore.
This is more than what another popular movie, Dhurandhar, made on its first day.
The movie is about a training mission during the 1971 war with Pakistan and shows the friendships and battles that happen during that time.
People are really excited about it, and many are going to see it, especially during the Republic Day long weekend.
However, it hasn't beaten the record set by Gadar 2, which made ₹40 crore on its first day.
Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, released on January 23, 2026.
The movie earned approximately ₹30 crore on its opening day, surpassing Dhurandhar's first-day collection of ₹28 crore.
Border 2 was released in about 4500 screens worldwide and had strong advance bookings of ₹12.5 crore.
The film's success is attributed to the excitement around its iconic first part and the lack of major competition.
Border 2 has not yet surpassed the opening day record set by Gadar 2, which earned ₹40 crore.
