Canada and India Expand Trade Ties

Canada and India Expand Trade Ties

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is going to visit India in the first week of March.

During his visit, he will sign important agreements with India on things like uranium, energy, minerals, and artificial intelligence.

Canada and India are also planning to start formal talks for a big trade agreement called CEPA.

Both countries are working quickly to make these deals because they want to protect themselves from changes in the global trade rules.

Canada will supply more oil and gas to India, and India will send more refined petroleum products to Canada.

This visit is part of Canada's effort to make new trade friends beyond the United States.

Both countries are also talking about other important things like critical minerals, oil, and gas supplies.

They want to make sure they have stable and secure supplies of these resources.

The visit is seen as a big step in improving the relationship between Canada and India.
