CM Dhami directs immediate green cess collection
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, was unhappy because the plan to collect a special fee called 'green cess' from vehicles coming from other states was delayed.
This fee is meant to help keep the environment clean.
He told the officials to start collecting this fee right away.
He also said they should use computers and smart technology to make sure everything is done properly and to stop people from not paying taxes.
The Chief Minister wants to make sure Uttarakhand uses its natural resources wisely, especially in the Terai regions, to help the state grow and protect the environment.
He wants to make this decade a special time for Uttarakhand's development, just like the Prime Minister wants.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed displeasure over the delay in implementing the 'green cess' collection from out-of-state vehicles.
The 'green cess' aims to control pollution, protect the environment, and promote cleanliness in Uttarakhand.

He emphasized the use of AI-based technology for effective tax control and the digitization of all registration and licensing work.
