CPI Celebrates 100 Years Amid Protests

The Communist Party of India (CPI) celebrated its 100th anniversary with big events in Prakasam district.

They had flag hoisting ceremonies in different places like Ongole and Nellore.

A big bike rally also happened.

A leader named ML Narayana talked about how CPI has helped workers, farmers, and women over the years.

He said the party has fought for important laws and wants people to support their movements against the current government's policies.

At the same time, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) organized a protest in Vijayawada against the imposition of the PD Act on a CPM leader named Appalaraju.

They chained their hands as a protest and said the government is misusing the law to suppress public movements.
