Archie Comics Reintroduces Scarlet Saltee, Promoting Autism Awareness

Archie Comics has brought back a character named Scarlet Saltee, who is autistic.

This is to help people understand autism better and make sure everyone feels included.

Scarlet is part of the Archie universe, which includes characters like Archie, Betty, and Veronica.

The new story, called 'Purrfect Parade,' shows how Scarlet deals with things like sensory overload.

The comic will be available in August 2023.

The people who made the comic, like the CEO Nancy Silberkleit and the artist Colleen Doran, wanted to make sure the story is sensitive and respectful.

They also worked with other artists from India to make the comic visually appealing and easy to read.
