Four protected bar-headed geese were found at actor Darshan’s farmhouse in Mysuru district.

The Forest Department responded by filing a case.

A court at T. Narasipura then issued summons.

Darshan and his wife, Vijayalakshmi, have asked the Karnataka High Court to cancel the case.

They say the geese flew into the farmhouse by themselves.

They also say they only learned about the birds when officials inspected the property.

The Forest Department says the discovery led to legal proceedings.

Darshan is separately in judicial custody in the Renukaswamy murder case.
