Andhra Pradesh Tourism Industry Seeks Faster Reforms and Investment

The Andhra Pradesh Star Hotels Association wants the state to improve tourism more quickly.

It asked the government to make financial incentives easier for small tourism businesses to use.

These businesses could include food, entertainment, wellness and adventure services.

The association also suggested creating a permanent group where the government and tourism businesses can work together.

It wants visitors to Tirupati and other temples to stay longer and explore more activities.

It proposed making Amaravati a place for conferences, exhibitions, weddings, sports and family trips.

The association also asked for changes to the hospitality tax system.

Other ideas included better training, affordable accommodation, homestays and improved online tourism information.
