India is trying to make digital financial services easier and safer for more people.

The Reserve Bank of India announced several new projects at the Global Fintech Fest 2026.

These projects use technologies such as artificial intelligence, tokenisation and quantum computing.

One project will test corporate bonds in tokenised form.

Another project is an Android-based ATM that can issue RuPay cards and UPI QR codes.

Some government-backed credit schemes can now use Credit Line on UPI.

A new payment system will also allow three-party cash deposits through Aadhaar-enabled payments.

The RBI says these efforts should help villages and underserved communities access financial services while reducing fraud and costs.
