US Envoy Warns Hezbollah on Joining Iran-Israel War
Imagine a fight is happening between Iran and Israel.
The U.S. doesn't want a group called Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran, to join the fight because it would make things much worse.
A U.S. official went to Lebanon to tell them this.
Hezbollah has said they don't like what Israel is doing but hasn't said they'll attack.
The U.S. official also talked about making sure only the government has weapons.
U.S. envoy Thomas Barrack discouraged Hezbollah from joining the Iran-Israel war.
Barrack met with Lebanese officials in Beirut amid ongoing strikes between Iran and Israel.
Barrack stated that joining the conflict would be a "very bad decision."
Hezbollah has condemned Israel's strikes on Iran but has not explicitly threatened to intervene.
Barrack discussed the state's control of arms with Lebanese President Aoun.
