Delhi BLOs to Visit Homes for Electoral Roll Hearings
Some voters in Delhi received notices because their details could not be matched or had possible mistakes.
They usually do not have to travel to an election office for a hearing.
Instead, a Booth Level Officer will visit their home.
The officer will collect the needed documents and upload them for review.
An Electoral Registration Officer will then decide what to do with the notice.
A hearing will happen only in special cases, preferably online.
An adult family member may attend for the voter if authorised.
Special registration camps for young voters will also be held at educational institutions on September 29 and 30.
Electors issued SIR notices in Delhi will generally not need to visit ERO or AERO offices.
