Telangana's Palvancha Ganesha Idols Adorned With ₹2.90 Crore Cash

Two Ganesha idols in Palvancha, Telangana, were decorated with a very large amount of money.

The notes used for both idols were worth ₹2.90 crore altogether.

Members of the Kapu community decorated one idol with ₹1.40 crore in notes.

Team Ekadanta decorated another idol with ₹1.50 crore in notes.

The decorations included ₹10, ₹20, ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500 notes.

One idol had a garland and crown made from currency notes.

Local traders helped pay for the displays, and bankers supplied fresh notes.

Many devotees visited the idols during Ganesh Chaturthi.

Palvancha had also used currency notes for Ganesha decorations in 2023 and 2024.
