Ajoy Edwards joins 'One Northeast' rally

Ajoy Edwards, a leader from Darjeeling, joined a big meeting called 'One Northeast' in Agartala, Tripura.

This meeting was about making the voices of people from the northeast and other regions like Darjeeling and Ladakh stronger in the national government.

Edwards said that even though Darjeeling is not part of the northeast, they have similar problems and want to work together to protect their land, language, and culture.

The leaders at the meeting believe that by joining together, they can have more power when talking to the central government.

They also talked about how big national parties sometimes ignore the needs of smaller regions.

Edwards is also talking to leaders from Ladakh to form an alliance while keeping their own party identities.
