Dombivli Software Developer Allegedly Loses ₹11 Lakh In Dating-App Fraud
A woman from Dombivli met a man on a dating app.
He reportedly said he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and promised to marry her.
They spoke on the phone every day but never met in person.
He allegedly asked her for money for his father's medical treatment.
She sent money using cards, UPI and her savings.
He then allegedly sent fake receipts saying he had transferred money to her from the UK.
She continued sending money because she believed the transfer was delayed.
She later realised she had lost ₹11,05,852 and reported the case to police.

The man reportedly identified himself as Sai Kiran Kondal Reddy and claimed to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He allegedly promised marriage and sought money, citing his father's kidney ailment and medical treatment.
The woman reportedly made multiple payments through credit cards, UPI and personal savings between April 18 and August 10.
Vishnu Nagar Police registered an FIR under Information Technology Act Section 66D and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 318(4).
