Mumbai man's AQI experiment highlights N95 mask importance
A man in Mumbai did an experiment to show how well N95 masks work.
He used a special machine to measure the air quality at the beach.
The air quality number was 192, which is not good.
When he put an N95 mask over the machine, the number dropped to 37, which is much better.
A doctor explained that the air quality number, called AQI, tells us how clean or dirty the air is.
When the number is high, it's bad for everyone, especially kids, old people, and those with health problems.
N95 masks help protect people from breathing in dirty air, but they don't fix the pollution problem.
Aneesh Bhasin conducted an experiment at Juhu Beach, Mumbai, showing AQI dropping from 192 to 37 with an N95 mask.
N95 masks are effective in reducing exposure to air pollution.
AQI below 50 is considered good, while AQI above 300 is very harmful.
High AQI levels are particularly dangerous for children, the elderly, and those with asthma or heart problems.
N95 masks provide protection but are not a solution to air pollution.
