Hyderabad SI Dies After Motorcycle Hit During Immersion Duty
K Venkanna was a 55-year-old police officer working during a Ganesh immersion procession in Hyderabad.
A motorcycle hit him near Tank Bund.
The rider reportedly left without stopping.
Venkanna thought his injuries were minor and travelled toward Warangal.
Later, he felt dizzy and increasingly uncomfortable.
His family took him to MGM Hospital in Warangal.
He died while doctors were treating him.
Police are checking CCTV footage and other evidence to find the motorcycle and rider.
Many police officers were deployed across Hyderabad for the immersion arrangements.
