Experts Urge Parents to Stop Helicopter Parenting in India
A group of experts met with parents at a school to talk about how to raise kids.
They said that when parents control everything from a very young age, kids can’t learn to think for themselves.
The experts used a big test called PISA to show that India did not do well.
They suggested a new way called "corporate parenting" where parents and kids plan activities together.
They also warned that giving kids too much information can make their brains tired, so it’s better to let them explore and play.
Education consultants Rouble Tuli and Shikha Dutt Tuli warned against early micromanagement.
India ranked 72nd out of 73 in the 2009 PISA test, highlighting learning gaps.
Parents should adopt corporate parenting, planning schedules together with children.
Excessive information can fatigue the brain and stifle original thinking.
Students highlighted the importance of hobbies, relaxation, and trust in teachers over tuitions.
