Bureaucratic Delays Hinder Essential Document Issuance in Bengal

Bureaucratic Delays Hinder Essential Document Issuance in Bengal

In Bengal, many people are waiting for important papers like birth certificates, death certificates, and passports.

About 25,000 birth and death certificates are still not ready, and more than 20,000 new passport requests are stuck.

This is because the computer system that used to give out these papers was turned off when new leaders took over.

The police also added a long check that makes it take even longer.

Because of these delays, students who want to study abroad, people who need to travel for medical care, and workers who have jobs overseas are having a hard time.

The state government has tried to fix the problem by giving one person the job of handing out certificates, but many people think this is not enough.

The government needs to solve the problem quickly so everyone can get the documents they need.
