India, Taiwan Sign MoU to Expand Public Finance Cooperation

India and Taiwan signed a new agreement about managing public money.

The agreement was signed in Bengaluru on August 28, 2026.

It allows officials from both sides to regularly share knowledge and experience.

They will discuss topics such as taxes, customs and government-owned property.

They will also cooperate on infrastructure projects and international finance.

Officials may meet through seminars, training programs and consultations.

The agreement builds on earlier cooperation that began with tax and customs agreements in 2011.

Trade between India and Taiwan reached a record USD 12.514 billion in 2025.
