Northern England Mayors Launch India Trade Mission After UK-India Deal
Mayors and other leaders from northern England are going to India.
Their trip will happen from 12 to 16 October.
They want to help businesses in the North trade more with India.
They also hope to attract Indian investment and create jobs.
The trip follows a new trade agreement between the United Kingdom and India.
That agreement aims to increase yearly trade from £47.9 billion to at least twice that amount.
The delegation will first meet together in Delhi.
After that, different regions will work on projects linked to their own strengths.
UKIBC, HSBC UK and government departments are helping organize the mission.
