India Sets 25% US LPG Import Target by 2027
India is telling us how much gas and fuel cost in big cities on July 29 and 30.
In Delhi, a small gas cylinder costs ₹942, and a big one costs ₹2,930.
The price for compressed natural gas (CNG) is about ₹83 per kilogram.
India had a big gas shortage last year because of fighting in the Middle East.
To avoid this again, the government plans to buy up to a quarter of its gas from the United States by 2027.
This will help keep gas prices stable and make sure people have enough cooking fuel.
LPG 14.2 kg cylinder prices in Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities were ₹942, ₹941.50, and similar amounts on July 29–30.
Commercial 19kg LPG cylinder prices ranged from ₹2,885.50 in Mumbai to ₹3,191 in Hyderabad.
CNG prices in Delhi were ₹83.09 per kg, while in Mumbai they were ₹86 per kg.
PNG prices in Delhi were ₹49.59 per SCM, with similar rates in other cities.
India plans to source up to 25% of its LPG imports from the United States by 2027 to reduce Middle East dependence.
