Odisha and Delhi Air Pollution Updates
Odisha, a state in India, has some of the worst air pollution in the country.
Three of its towns, Balasore, Talcher, and Baripada, are among the top five most polluted places in India.
The air quality in these towns is much worse than in New Delhi, which is usually known for its pollution.
The main cities, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, also have poor air quality.
Experts say this pollution can make people very sick, causing problems like heart disease and asthma.
They urge the state to take strong action to control pollution and protect people's health.
In Delhi, the air quality improved due to strong winds, but this relief may not last.
The winds helped clear the pollution, but they are expected to weaken, and foggy mornings will return, which could make the air quality worse again.
Delhi's air quality is likely to slip back into the 'Very Poor' category by December 27 and remain there for several days.
Doctors warn that air pollution is a big health crisis in India, causing many respiratory and heart problems.
They say we need to take action now to protect people's health.
Odisha's towns Balasore, Talcher, and Baripada rank among India's top five most polluted urban centers.
Balasore has the highest AQI in Odisha at 336, followed by Talcher at 324 and Baripada at 304.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the twin cities of Odisha, have AQI levels of 239 and 262 respectively, both in the 'Poor' category.
PM2.5 is identified as the dominant pollutant in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Delhi's AQI improved to 292 on Friday due to strong and sustained winds, but it may not last.
