MDU Admits Lack of NAAC A+ Accreditation
Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in Haryana has admitted that it no longer has the A+ accreditation from NAAC, the organization that checks the quality of universities.
The university had this high grade from 2019 to 2024, but it expired in March 2024.
Even though the university's website still says it has the A+ grade, the university says it's waiting for a new way to apply for accreditation.
NAAC, the organization that gives these grades, announced a new system in January 2024 and said they wouldn't accept applications under the old system.
The university says it's waiting for the new system to apply again.
MDU admitted to not having current NAAC A+ accreditation despite displaying it on their website.
The university's A+ accreditation expired in March 2024.
NAAC announced a new accreditation framework in January 2024, halting new applications under the old system.
MDU stated it is waiting for the new accreditation process to apply again.
