Four Arrested, Juvenile Detained for Mumbai Coastal Road Cable Theft
The police in Mumbai caught some people who stole a special electric wire, called a cable.
The cable was used to light up the street lamps on a big road called the Mumbai Coastal Road.
Someone took the cable early in the morning, between 3 am and 3.15 am.
The cable was blue and made of copper, and it cost around 2.62 lakh rupees.
A man named Tufankumar Sudarshan Panda told the police about the theft.
The police worked very fast and solved the case within 48 hours.
They arrested four people and also took a young person, called a juvenile, into custody.
The juvenile will go in front of a special court for children.
Police say the adults belong to a gang that steals things again and again.
The investigation is still going on.

The case was solved within 48 hours, after complainant Tufankumar Sudarshan Panda (36) reported the theft on August 12, 2026.
The blue copper cable, valued at approximately Rs 2.62 lakh, was stolen between 3 am and 3.15 am near the NSCI Dome between Street Light Poles 725 and 728.
A case was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The juvenile was detained from the Worli-Lotus area and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board as investigation continues.
