MP Teachers Suspend TET Protest After Chief Minister's Assurance

Teachers in Madhya Pradesh have been protesting about the Teacher Eligibility Test, or TET.

Their protest began at Neelam Park in Bhopal on September 27.

They met Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday.

After the meeting, they agreed to pause the protest until December 20.

Yadav said the state government would raise their demands with the national government.

He also said the state would support their case in the Supreme Court.

The government will consider whether teachers can receive seniority from the date they were appointed.

The teachers say they may start protesting again on December 21 if their demands are not fulfilled.
