SpeQtre Quantum Satellite Launched Successfully

SpeQtral, a company from Singapore, and RAL Space from the UK, have successfully launched a small satellite called SpeQtre.

This satellite is special because it uses quantum technology to send secure messages from space.

The satellite is about the size of a microwave oven and was sent into orbit on November 28, 2025.

The goal is to make sure that important information can be sent safely, even as new types of computers called quantum computers become more powerful.

The satellite will start doing experiments in early 2026 to test how well it can send secure messages between Singapore and the UK.

This project is part of a bigger effort to make sure that communication networks are safe from future cyber-attacks.
