Naidu Seeks 20,378 Acres for Andhra Port-Led Development

Andhra Pradesh wants to use a large area of salt land for development around its ports.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the national government to transfer about 20,378 acres to the state.

He made the request while meeting minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi.

The land is currently under a central government department.

Naidu said it could help expand ports and build roads and railway lines.

He also wants industries to grow near the ports.

Separately, he asked for more help selling Andhra Pradesh products in other countries.

He said better export links, quality standards and processing facilities could help farmers and producers.
