Telangana Pushes Future City to Outshine GIFT City
The chief minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, told a group of business leaders that the state is building a huge new city called Future City.
It will be much bigger than a nearby city in Gujarat called GIFT City, covering about 30,000 acres.
He said the goal is to bring big companies from around the world, especially Fortune 500 firms, to set up offices there.
He promised the government will protect their investments and help them quickly get everything they need.
He also mentioned that Amazon and the Adani Group are already investing huge amounts in data centers in the state.
The chief minister said Telangana wants to become a top business destination and aims to grow its economy to one trillion dollars by 2034.
Telangana’s Future City will span 30,000 acres, far larger than Gujarat’s 700‑acre GIFT City.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy invited the Confederation of Indian Industry to invest, promising full protection and rapid approvals.
The state plans to attract Fortune 500 companies and has already secured interest from nearly 200 Global Capability Centre firms.
Amazon is investing about 1 lakh crore and Adani Group 35,000 crore in data centres within Telangana.
Telangana aims to become a one‑trillion‑dollar economy by 2034, competing with global cities like Tokyo and New York.
