Telangana Faces Administrative and Political Challenges
In Telangana, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is protesting against the Congress government's plan to divide the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) into three parts.
They plan to protest on 17 January with activities like blocking trains and wearing black badges.
The Congress party says the BRS is just scared of losing the upcoming elections.
The BJP is accusing the Congress of not protecting Hindus and their temples.
Meanwhile, the government is planning to add more officials in busy towns to help with administration.
The BRS says the BJP doesn't have enough support to be a real challenge in the elections.
Additionally, many senior IAS officers in Telangana are struggling because they have to handle multiple important departments at the same time.
The government is also planning to set up a commission to reorganize districts and mandals in the state.
BRS plans protests against GHMC delimitation, including a rail roko and Secunderabad bandh on 17 January.
Congress dismisses BRS protests as a sign of political insecurity and mocks their shifting loyalties.
BJP accuses Congress of increasing insecurity for Hindus and ignoring temple attacks.
Government announces plans to appoint additional tahsildars in high-population towns to ease administrative burdens.
BRS claims BJP lacks grassroots support and is not a viable alternative to Congress in Telangana.
