Kalyan-Dombivli Adopts Chennai Waste Management Model
Kalyan-Dombivli city is starting a new plan to make the city cleaner, using a system from Chennai.
This involves better ways to collect and move trash, clean streets, and handle complaints from citizens.
The government is also promising to keep its promises, like the Ladki Bahin scheme.
The project will have a 24-hour operation to collect waste from every house, and there will be new centers to convert waste into useful resources.
If the plan works well, it will make the city much cleaner.
KDMC is adopting the ‘Chennai Pattern’ for waste management, the first in Maharashtra.
