NHAI Plans Rs 66.5 Crore Upgrade for Jabalpur Bypassed Highway

The National Highways Authority of India wants to repair and improve an older highway section in Jabalpur.

The section is about 12 kilometers long.

Traffic began using the Jabalpur Ring Road instead of this stretch.

The planned work includes rebuilding the road with a stronger surface.

Workers would also add drains, lighting, a median and road-safety equipment.

Seventeen culverts and two minor bridges would be improved or rebuilt.

Twenty-four junctions would also be developed.

The project is expected to cost about Rs 66.5 crore and take one year after the contract begins.
