Man Diagnosed With Rare Kikuchi–Fujimoto Disease After Six Years

A 32-year-old man had swollen lymph nodes that kept coming back.

He also had fever and a low white blood cell count.

Doctors thought he might have tuberculosis and treated him for it several times.

This continued for six years.

Later, a closer examination found that he had Kikuchi–Fujimoto disease.

This is a rare illness that causes inflammation in lymph nodes.

It can look similar to tuberculosis or lymphoma, making it difficult to identify.

After treatment, the man left the hospital in stable condition.
