Gazans struggle as rain floods tents
In Gaza, many people are living in tents because their homes were destroyed in the war.
When it rained a lot, the tents got flooded, and a baby girl named Rahaf died from being too cold.
The rain also made the living conditions even worse for many families.
The tents are not strong enough to keep people safe from the weather, and there aren't enough new tents for everyone who needs them.
The war has made it very hard for people in Gaza to live safely and comfortably.
Some people are trying to make their tents stronger by using iron rods from the rubble of their old homes.
But it's still very difficult, and many people are suffering.
Heavy rain flooded hundreds of tents in Gaza, displacing families and causing a baby's death from exposure to cold.
Gaza lacks equipment to cope with the storm due to fuel shortages and damage to infrastructure caused by the war.
Over 2,500 calls for help were received by civil defense services as tent encampments were inundated with rainwater.
U.N. officials warn that 761 displacement sites housing 850,000 people are at high risk of flooding, and 300,000 new tents are urgently needed.
Gazans are resorting to using iron rods from bombed houses to prop up tents or sell for money, highlighting the dire living conditions.
