Morgan Freeman's Bee Sanctuary in Mississippi
Morgan Freeman, a famous actor, turned his big ranch in Mississippi into a special place for bees.
He has about 26 bee hives and grows lots of flowers like lavender and clover to feed the bees.
He doesn't take any honey from the bees; he just wants to help them live and grow.
He even takes care of the bees without wearing special clothes to protect himself.
He started this because many bees are dying, which is bad for the environment and the food we eat.
Bees help plants grow, and without them, we might not have enough food.
Morgan Freeman converted his 124-acre Mississippi ranch into a bee sanctuary in 2014.
He maintains 26 beehives and plants bee-friendly vegetation like lavender and clover.
Freeman does not harvest honey; his focus is on protecting and repopulating bee colonies.
He tends to the hives without protective gear and has never been stung.
The sanctuary aims to combat Colony Collapse Disorder, which has caused significant bee population decline.
