Bombay High Court Quashes Property Case, Orders ₹25,000 Donation

Bombay High Court Quashes Property Case, Orders ₹25,000 Donation

A property disagreement led to a criminal case.

The people involved later reached an agreement about the land.

The Bombay High Court said the case could be closed because the dispute was mainly civil and the parties had settled.

But the judge said criminal cases should not be used to pressure someone into an agreement.

The court also noted that investigations and hearings use public money and court time.

It ordered Akhtar Hasan Rizvi to pay ₹25,000 to a public trust.

The court will check on October 29, 2026, whether he has paid.

If he does not, the court may undo its decision to close the case.
