RSOLEC Plans ₹5,000 Crore Solar Materials Facility in Tumakuru

Renaissance Solar and Electronic Materials wants to build a large solar-materials factory in Tumakuru.

The company may invest ₹5,000 crore in the project.

It has asked the Karnataka government for 100 acres of land.

The factory would make solar ingots and wafers used in solar equipment.

Its planned production capacity is 5 GW.

The company would need 80 MW of electricity and 10 MLD of water.

It has also requested a special incentive package from the state.

If discussions and approvals go well, manufacturing could start by the middle of 2028.
