Ducati V21L: Volkswagen's Electric Motorcycle with Solid-State Charging
Volkswagen and Ducati have teamed up to make an electric motorcycle called the V21L.
This bike uses special solid-state batteries, which are like a new and improved version of regular batteries.
A cool thing about these batteries is that they can charge up really fast.
In a demo, they showed the bike charging from 10% to 80% in only 12 minutes!
This is a big step forward, because charging speed is a challenge for electric vehicles.
The companies are testing this new technology to see if it can make electric motorcycles and other electric vehicles better in the future.
However, more testing is still needed.
The Ducati V21L is Volkswagen Group's first all-electric motorcycle.
It uses solid-state batteries developed by QuantumScape.
PowerCo and Audi are collaborating on this project.
The prototype charges from 10% to 80% in about 12 minutes.
The goal is to improve battery chemistry and charging performance.
