Andhra Pradesh Deploys Kumki Elephants to Manage Wild Elephant Threats

The Andhra Pradesh forest department is sending two trained elephants, Jayanth and Abhimanyu, to Parvathipuram Manyam district.

These elephants will help keep wild elephants away from villages.

Wild elephants often come from Odisha and cause problems like damaging crops and scaring people.

The government is also planning long-term solutions like solar fences and better monitoring to keep both people and elephants safe.
