Lok Sabha Passes NCDC Amendment, Kerala Rename Bills Amid Protests

Lok Sabha Passes NCDC Amendment, Kerala Rename Bills Amid Protests

In India, there is a big group of leaders called the Lok Sabha who help make rules for the country.

One day, they voted on two new rules in the parliament building in New Delhi.

Some of the leaders were shouting and protesting, so the rules were approved very quickly without much talking.

The first rule helps groups of farmers and small businesses, called co-operatives, get money faster.

The second rule changes the name of a place called Kerala to 'Keralam'.

Some leaders were upset because they wanted to talk about students who protested about an exam called NEET.

They wanted the Home Minister, Amit Shah, to explain what happened on July 20.

But the voting still went ahead, and then the Lok Sabha stopped working for the day.

Another leader said it was sad that some senior Congress leaders did not talk about the Kerala name change.
