Walmart Berry Recall, Broccoli Sprout Salmonella Probe Expand

Walmart Berry Recall, Broccoli Sprout Salmonella Probe Expand

Two separate food-safety problems are being investigated in the United States.

Walmart recalled one kind of frozen berry package because it might contain E. coli.

The package is Great Value Organic Triple Berry Blend, and shoppers should check its lot code.

People should not eat the recalled berries and can throw them away or return them to Walmart.

No illnesses have been linked to those berries so far.

Separately, health officials are investigating salmonella illnesses possibly connected to broccoli sprouts.

They found 22 cases, and two people went to the hospital.

People and businesses should not eat, serve or sell the recalled broccoli sprouts.
